We hope you join our Facebook Fan Page at http://www.facebook.com/NewMediaConsortium. If so, you will be in the loop on all  announcements we make through Facebook.

How to...  If you don't have a Facebook account, create one now at http://www.facebook.com and visit our Fan page. Look for the link/button "to become a fan".

NMC and Social Media

In our research work for the Horizon Report, the NMC has been tracking Social Networking/Social Computing since 2005 and we have made extensive use of social bookmarking, photosharing, and Web 2.0 networking tools for our events. For example, see the recap of our use of social media at the 2009 NMC Summer Conference. As of September 2009, we have formalized an NMC Social Networking strategy, with focused efforts in the places we saw the most potential.

In this section of NMC 101, we will review the social media spaces the NMC is active, and how you can connect to us  there.
